Last Saturday my little family and I ventured to the Blossom Kite Festival on the National Mall. This is an annual, cool & family-friendly, and free event that is part of the whole Cherry Blossom Festival celebration. For one reason or another, I hadn’t been able to make it to previous kite festivals, but am so glad we did this year! Everyone had a blast.

Happy Monday! Hope you have a good start to the week. Today is my mom’s birthday so we’re all looking forward to taking her out to a yummy birthday dinner later tonight. 🙂
Today I’m bringing you a race recap – remember those?! Yesterday Tommy, our friend Hannah, and I ran the DC Veterans Day 10k put on by Pacers. We all needed a good long run (6.2) miles, but the extra shout out goes to Hannah. She didn’t think she could complete the race, but she finished the race (and didn’t walk!!!!) and stayed on pace with Tommy and me to boot! [Read more…]

It has been a long, long, long time since I have been back to the National Museum of American History. I mean long.
