With my successful Cherry Blossom 10-Miler behind me, I’m now focusing more on my ongoing yoga practice. I am still running 1-2 times a week, but my new workout goal is to be more proactive and consistent with my yoga practice. For me, this means going to yoga 3 times a week. Somehow when I decided last night that I was going to go for a run the next morning (today) I knew bigger and better things were on the horizon…or at the very least, I would need to start seriously training stat in the coming months.

Happy Monday everyone! Hope everyone had a good relaxing and calming weekend. I went to a dear high school friend’s baby shower on Saturday and yesterday I spent a great day with Ava and my mom after I dropped Tommy off at the airport – he’s in San Francisco for work. It was a gals day!
On Tuesday night the whole family – Tommy, mom, Ava, Violet, and I – are driving to Portland (Maine) to spend several days with his family, enjoy the beautiful weather, and eat some delicious food. While the drive (12 hours +) is a little daunting with a toddler and a pup, we are very excited to be heading north.
One of the most fun things about planning and preparing to go on a vacation is shopping for the said vacation. Here are some things that I think would be the perfect companions in Portland. 🙂 [Read more…]
