Hello! Hope everyone had a great Halloween! Mine was spent trick-or-treating in perfect, cool, crisp fall weather with Minnie Mouse, a train conductor, and a bumble bee, followed by giggles and laughs as neighbors dropped by our house and other trick-or-treaters came for their loot.

I know I’m not the first person to say how it’s hard to believe this year’s Christmas has come and gone already and that we’ll be ringing in 2017 this coming weekend – but it is so true!
This year’s Christmas was wonderful and special because we kept it simple. While we missed going to Maine to visit Tommy’s side of the family (our original Christmas plan), about two months ago we decided to spend Christmas at our house and just chill. Each member of our little family had been busy traveling for various purposes throughout the year, especially towards the end, so the idea of not driving, flying, or packing for the Christmas holidays was very appealing to us. Just seeing Tiffany smiling and glowing during her baby shower on Saturday was enough to know that the shower Christina and I co-hosted was a huge success! This year Valentine’s Day fell on a Saturday night, but instead of taking advantage of that, when deciding what to do this year I thought it’d be nice to do a Valentine’s Day lunch.
