[Read more…]Don’t laugh guys, but for this month’s 14th Street dinner we decided to go simple and casual. After last month’s dinner I noticed that Shake Shack had recently opened a location on 14th Street, so…..
I suggested we dine here for our May dinner. [Read more…]
HAPPY FRIDAY!
Who else is excited that it is Friday today? Some of our weekend plans include cheering on the Caps tonight and Sunday, taking a day trip to Fredericksburg, Virginia (a town south of D.C.) to visit a brewery, grab lunch, and walk around downtown, and sending some neighbors off to Cali at a farewell BBQ.
This past Wednesday the 14th Street Eating crew decided to trek up to the Columbia Heights section of 14th Street to eat at Thip Khao, a self-described sleek & modern eatery showcasing spicy Laotian dishes & classic cocktails with an exotic twist. [Read more…]

Ā I walked down a flight of stairs and once inside quickly forgot that it was sunny outside as the entire restaurant was very dark. [Read more…]
Happy Monday everyone! Hope your weekend was a good one.
One of my weekend highlights was a “ladies night” on Saturday night. Three gal pals and I met each other in Adam’s Morgan for some drinks, food, laughter, and good conversation in that order! I had reached out to several of my girlfriends last month seeing who would be interested in partaking in dinner and drinks with me sans Ava and Tommy. While several people couldn’t make it out because of previous commitments it was a ball. And no worries, I will be doing another one of these in the near future! [Read more…]
