I finally ate a meal here! Pacifico Cantina is described as a Tex-Mex restaurant and prides itself on the fact that everything that comes out of the kitchen is handcrafted and made from scratch.
My only appearance at this new-ish restaurant on 8th St. NE, also known as, Barracks Row, was for a birthday happy hour last summer. The only food and beverage I ate then was a glass of white wine, (I know, I didn’t even have a margarita!) chips, salsa, and some guacamole. [Read more…]

In keeping with my desire to hang out on U Street more, I met up with some friends at the Brixton for drinks (unfortunately we couldn’t order food on the rooftop bar, so I guess I’ll have to go back again…) before heading to the 9:30 Club for a Lady Gaga vs. Madonna vs. Boy Band dance party with DJ Lil ‘E. To me, resolutions are things that you want to accomplish and/or achieve because you personally feel like it will make you a better, more well-rounded person.
