Tommy and I are expecting our first child in late April 2015! (Our estimated due date is April 24, 2014). While we have known for several months that we are expecting it was just yesterday that we found out whether we were having a boy or a girl.

I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend. For us DMV locals, the weather this weekend was absolutely perfect, which explains why I spent most of the weekend outside. 🙂
On Saturday afternoon, Tommy and I explored Solomons Island, a small waterfront fishing village where the Patuxent River meets the Chesapeake River. It’s about 30 minutes or so south of Chesapeake Beach. Tommy and I thought the island (really more of a peninsula) was very charming. There were a lot of fun restaurants, bars, shops, and water activities available for locals and visitors. [Read more…]

1. Tommy and I registered for the Salvation Army’s ‘Angel Tree‘ program yesterday. We already know what two children we are assigned to to buy Christmas presents for. We have two brothers and can’t wait to go buy their presents this weekend. As mentioned, this is one of our favorite things to do at Christmas! We love it. [Read more…]
