It’s Tuesday – you know what that means.
Happy busy Thursday folks!
I have a super fun giveaway for the mamas or friends of mamas out there.
As you all already know, Ava and I are big fans of Arts on the Horizon’s toddler theatrical plays they put on. They are fun, educational, engaging, encourage little ones to use their imagination, and always incorporate musical elements in each of their shows, which Ava particularly loves.
Well, I have FOUR free tickets to give away to their latest and greatest production, Outside the Lines, on Friday, April 20th!
Two pen pals, Bud and Vi, brighten each other’s lives from afar. Bud lives in a straight-line world of tall, tall buildings. Vi lives in a curvy-line world of rolly, rolly hills. Bud and Vi have never met, but they create a world together by exchanging lines…through the mail.
Scored by the lively tango music of QuinTango, and featuring interactive projection design by Helen Hayes nominee Patrick Lord, Outside the Lines is a new nonverbal play for ages 2-5 and their families about one of our earliest and deepest joys: connection.
The play was created by Tia Shearer Bassett and directed by Megan Alrutz.
To enter the giveaway, leave a comment on this blog post about why you’d love to win these tickets either for yourself or a friend. I’ll randomly select the winner this weekend and will announce them on Monday on the blog!

Hello and Happy Friday from Tucson! (I’m here for a few days for work).
In other travel news, you may remember that Tommy, Ava, and I headed down to Atlanta a couple of weeks ago to visit my brother and his little family. It was a great visit – I loved seeing Ava and her cousins Gabe and Liam play together and interact so well. In my opinion, that it was family is all about and I truly hope all three kids (+ Luke when he arrives!) will continue to have a steady, consistent presence in each other’s lives.
Here is a photo recap of our long weekend if you’d like to see. [Read more…]

Happy Thursday! And Happy Moving Day to my little family and me!
That’s right – another “secret” I suppose you could say that we’ve been keeping, is that Tommy and I bought/built a house in the same neighborhood we live in currently. I didn’t want to post anything on here until we officially closed (which we did yesterday)! Stay tuned for a recap and house tour coming soon!
Let’s get to the “things that are making me happy lately”.
- Of course Moving Day is number one on this list. 🙂
- Impromptu al fresco dinner with neighbors last night.
- Trying (new-to-me) coffee shops.
- Seeing Ava so happy to be reunited with Dede after her 2-week visit back home to Guatemala.
Pardon the departure of our regularly scheduled Tuesday Tidbits this week. But there is a very special reason why. 🙂
Our little family is still feeling the extra love and glow from Valentine’s Day last week. Hope you all are still feeling and spreading the love far and wide. Our country world needs it.
We’re thrilled to be able to tell folks that our family of three (humans, not counting Sweet V), will become a family of four in late-August! [Read more…]
Happy President’s Day everyone! And a very happy to those of you who have this day off. Unfortunately, I fall into the other camp, so I missed out on a family fun day of going to the Port Discovery Children’s Museum in Baltimore with Tommy, Ava, and some of our friends. But, on the bright side, I have been very productive at work today! [Read more…]
