In honor of Sunday being the first official day of Fall, here is a list of things I am looking forward to this season, in no particular order… [Read more…]
I would say I became a blog reader (and then eventually a blogger myself a little while later) about a year ago. I’m not sure what really prompted this new hobby, but I have become an avid follower of many blogs and so enjoy reading each and every one of their posts when I have time.
Here are just a few I highly recommend you read: [Read more…]
Hope everyone had a wonderful Friday and an even better weekend!
Tomorrow I’m leaving on a jet plane to San Francisco, making my way to Napa and Sonoma. I will be meeting my friend Christina who is flying from Dallas. Once we meet up, get our rental car, and grab a bite to eat we’ll hit the road for wine country! I haven’t quite decided how I will be blogging on this trip. While I like to post daily during the week, I do not know if my accommodations and plans will allow for daily posts. We’ll have to see, and if I cannot blog daily, regularly scheduled posts will occur again beginning on Thursday. 🙂
Tommy’s former co-worker and friend, Scott, got married on Saturday! This week’s Tuesday Tidbits is dedicated to their beautiful wedding held at Herrington on the Bay along the Chesapeake Bay twenty minutes or so from Annapolis. [Read more…]

I have been thinking this and saying this to a lot of people. While this summer season is going to be tons of fun and fabulous, it will also be on the expensive side. 1. This past weekend I went to a couple of restaurants I had never been to before.
On Friday night, my friend Nova and I met for drinks, which then turned into dinner, at 1905 on U Street. I had heard great things about 1905’s cocktails and burger. I had been trying to come here for months but something always came up (read: whoever I was doing happy hour with at the time and I decided to go to a closer bar). I finally made it! Nova and I were very happy with our cocktails and we ordered their homemade potato chips for an appetizer and their potato gnocchi to share for dinner. (I’m sorry, I didn’t take any photos. 🙁 ) [Read more…]
I hope everyone had an amazing Thanksgiving!
Tommy, Violet and I were in bed by 9:36pm if that is any indication of how our Thanksgiving went. Our bellies were full and Tommy and all the other Redskins fans were happy with the final score of the football game. Cowboys fans? Not so much. [Read more…]
