One of the things that has been on my heart and in my head these days is wondering if/when my daughter Ava will go back to preschool before she starts Kindergarten in September. For the obvious reasons of wanting Ava to go back to school (seeing her teachers and friends), I am a sentimental schmuck of a mom and really want to see Ava “graduate” to Kindergarten! Our preschool puts on a special program for graduating pre-Kers and that is something that I have been (bitter) sweetly looking forward to.

Boy, do I have an fun and snazzy post today regarding an impressive production coming to DC’s National Theatre next month – Tchaikovsky’s Swan Lake presented by the St. Petersburg Ballet Theatre! The ballet features prima ballerina Irina Kolesnikova, who is making her long-anticipated US debut. This production will be touring around the United States for the first time, and I think it’s pretty telling that DC is included in this tour and that the National Theatre will be hosting this notable ballet.
