Ya’ll may remember my glowing review of Tinkergarten, an organization on a mission to elevate childhood, through the outdoor experience. Instructors bring families together in a natural place in their community for classes where kids learn through play. Each class becomes a tight-knit group of children and adults who learn together through well-designed, outdoor play-based activities.
As with most things right now, Tinkergarten had to do a pivot to their approach to learning and skill-building, enter Tinkergarten At Home. Tinkergarten at Home provides free weekly outdoor activity plans to help the whole family continue to get outside and learn during this challenging time. When parents sign up for Tinkergarten At Home, they’ll get:
- Weekly Activity Plans: Fun educational activities that are straightforward for parents, loved by kids, and promote independent play. Here’s a sample.
- Parenting Insights. Helpful content about how young kids develop and how to tackle the challenges we all face when helping our kids learn and grow at home. Here’s a sample.
- Live How-To Sessions. Invites to weekly online sessions where parents from around the country gather to see Tinkergarten DIY activities brought to life. Here’s a sample.
- An Active Online Community. Access to our #OutdoorsAll4 Facebook Group, where folks find and share ideas, photos and stories of their Tinkergarten At Home experiences.
I would highly recommend parents take a look!
Hope you have a happy and healthy weekend.
