Not going to lie ya’ll, one of the reasons I was so excited for Ava to start preschool was so I could partake in all of the fun, holiday activities and celebrations they do at school. I loved participating and attending the Thanksgiving potluck they did in November, then watching the holiday show the kiddos put on, followed by a “Holiday Feast” in December, and this month they are having a Valentine’s Day party and musical show for parents. (Don’t get me started on what I will be doing for her school birthday celebration in May! 😉
Of course I immediately got to thinking of the valentines Ava would give her classmates. I quickly went to Pinterest to get some inspiration. I knew pretty early on that I didn’t want Ava to give only card valentines and that I was going to try my hardest to not choose any valentines that had candy or chocolate as part of the valentine. (Lord knows all of our kids have had a enough sweets these past several months).
I finally landed on this idea with play doh for Ava to give to each of her classmates.
We couldn’t forget her two teachers, Ms. Stephanie and Ms. Tamika. I think they’ll both appreciate these little self-care items!
I plan on putting all of these valentines together with Ava either this weekend or early next week just in time for Valentine’s Day. Stay tuned for our final results!
