Two Saturdays ago we hosted our annual holiday party at our new house. (It’s hard to believe that we just only moved into our house in March, so some folks still hadn’t seen it yet). It was definitely hustling and bustling with about 50 people or so coming to ring in the holiday season with us!
I had settled on the theme of the party a couple months ago because I had envisioned friends enjoying various ciders during the party and because I knew I wanted to incorporate some fun kid activities to do during the party since a lot of kids would be in attendance. Keep reading for more details!
I had Bloom Fresh Flowers put together two stunning holiday flower arrangements for me.
- Beef skewer
- Pork skewers
- Spring rolls
- Slow Cooker Honey Buffalo Meatballs
- Charcuterie, Cheese and Cracker Board
- Veggie tray
- Chocolate Rum Cake from Rumalutions
- Vanilla and Chocolate cupcakes from Rumalutions
- Macaron Tower from Dolce & Bean
- Assortment of ciders – alcoholic and non-alcoholic, that included Spiced Cranberry Apple Cider and a keg of Bold Rock
- Juice (kids)
I got most of my menu ingredients and items from Earth Fare and I ransacked the candy aisles at Target for my Candy Board.
I set up a cookie decorating station at our dining room table. I bought sugar cookies from Dog Tag Bakery and all the cookie decorating supplies (icing, sprinkles, design boards, etc at Michaels).
Another fun activity I had planned for kids (and adults) was having a professional face painter on hand to paint faces during the party! Lynn from SparkLynn Designs was amazing!
A good time was had by all!
Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!
