Hello and Happy Friday everyone!
Today I thought it would be fun to share a few photos from our very first (and successful!) family of four trip to Punta Cuna over Thanksgiving.
Both Ava and Luke were great on the flight going to Punta Cuna and the flight coming home. (We had direct flights each way – such a win).
I nursed Luke right before we took off and he slept the entire flight – only waking up to nurse again as we were landing. Perfect timing, Little Man!
Big Sister Ava, who is a pro flyer and traveler, watched a couple episodes of Daniel Tiger, did some coloring with mama, and just enjoyed her time on the flight.
We traveled with another family, neighbors of ours – Michelle, Brad, and William-, which was great. Ava was occupied because she is good friends with William and Michelle and Brad helped out quite a bit as Tommy and I navigated traveling with two kids.
Once our flight touched down in Punta Cuna, our days had a similar flow to them – eat breakfast, beach, lunch, pool, nap, more pool, dinner, and then dancing. We stayed at the Iberostar Punta Cuna, an all-inclusive resort, which was very convenient when you had toddlers and babies to think about and entertain. We stayed for a total of 5 days – 2 travel days and 3 full days, which I think was just perfect.
Some “La Playa” (beach) Photos:
While Ava and William played in the ocean, Luke and mama played under the palm leaves.
Some Pooling Photos: (Ava turned the word “pooling” into a verb. “Mama I want to keep pooling please”).
Luke’s first foray into the pool did not go well.
Everyone else loved the pool though.
The Iberostar resort grounds were beautiful.
The food was pretty good for resort food. We enjoyed a buffet breakfast every morning, ate at a steakhouse on the beach for lunch everyday, and then tried various cuisine specific restaurants at the resort for dinner.
And man were there dance parties. Ava and William lived for music and dancing every night on vacation!
Thank you Zeiglers for inviting us on a fun Thanksgiving trip!
Side Note: This trip definitely empowered Tommy and me that we can travel with two kids. Albeit there is a lot more planning and coordinating involved and there really isn’t any “downtime” for the adults, but we love making these family trip memories with our kiddos! There will definitely be more traveling trips for this family of four in the future. 🙂
Hope you all have a great weekend.
