Happy Friday all!
Last weekend I had the fun opportunity to go to Superfine! DC at Union Market, which I had teased in an earlier blog post.
Superfine! is an art fair that showcases art at affordable prices by approachable artists, eager to answer your questions and tell people their artistic journey if you ask! This was the first year Superfine! came to D.C. Other cities that host this art fair are New York, Miami Beach, and LA.
I went with my friend Allison and we enjoyed walking through all the booths and talking with various artists.
There were over 70 vendors at DC’s Superfine! art fair and the variety and depth of the artwork offered was truly amazing, inspiring, and at times thought-provoking.
In addition to the art exhibit itself, Superfine! D.C. had a number of panels and lectures guests could attend and several special events to attend throughout the days of the fair.
Did I find any pieces of art that struck my fancy? I DID! Two jumped out at me during the fair…and one is still on my mind a week later. In fact, I am thisclose to reaching out to the artist to see if the painting I saw at the fair is still available for purchase. Stay tuned!
I’m really glad I was able to go to this art fair. Personally, I feel like art shows and galleries can be a bit intimidating and confusing, but I found Superfine! DC to be totally enjoyable and relaxing.
Hope you have a great weekend!
