By this time tomorrow, Tommy, Ava, and I will be on the road to Asheville, North Carolina! We’re heading that way with another family – our friends Matt, Kathryn, and their little girl, Addie, for a long weekend. Neither of us have been to Asheville and we’re all so excited to see why countless people rave about it.
We’re all renting an Airbnb pretty close to downtown and definitely plan on taking it easy, (it’s a vacation after all…), but also doing some sightseeing, hiking, and eating some delicious food and brews (well, Tommy, Kathryn and Matt are).
Here are some of the top things people have suggested we do:
- Visit the Biltmore Estate – we have tickets for Friday!
- Drive at least part of the Blue Ridge Parkway
- Walk around the Grove Park Inn and have tea there
- Walk around downtown to window shop, people-watch, and listen to live music
Places to Eat and Drink:
Me being me, I did buy a couple of things for this trip – for Ava.:-)
I bought this travel toddler bed to see if she’ll sleep in it at night, given that her pal Addie has the same exact bed and will be doing so as well. I’m also hoping this will keep Ava entertained for a bit in the car or when we’re eating at a restaurant in Asheville.
Stay tuned for an upcoming blog post on this trip! While I won’t be blogging from Asheville, be sure to check out my IG over the weekend.
