Last Saturday I was treated to a private tour of Earth Fare, an organic and natural healthy supermarket that was founded in Asheville, North Carolina. Since Asheville’s first store opening in 1975, Earth Fare has grown to 45 stores across 10 states in the Southeast, mid-Atlantic, and Midwest. The latest store opening, #45, is in Fairfax, Virginia (the second in the state).
Upon entrance to the store, it was beautiful. Of course everything was new and clean, but the environment was very vibrant, open, and welcoming.
We began the tour by walking through the fresh produce and fruit section. (Definitely doing some impromptu grocery shopping as we walked along).
Since 1975, Earth Fare has distinguished itself as a leader in the healthy foods industry by developing a unique Food Philosophy that informs every product offered in the store. This Food Philosophy ensures that all products sold are free of high fructose corn syrup, artificial fats and trans-fats, artificial colors, artificial preservatives, artificial sweeteners, bleached or bromated flour, and are never administered antibiotics or growth hormones.
Earth Fare also has its own product line of goods, that includes cereals.

Check out all these delicious spices!
One thing that stood out to me on my tour was how many products there were from local vendors throughout the entire store.
Tommy found found his new “go-to” bars to munch on!
Earth Fare had a great and bustling Meat and Seafood section.
I personally loved their fish “grab and go” section. Various individual sized pieces of fish are packaged with butter and spices to completely simplify dinners at home.

Yum.

Look at all of these options!

I could make a mean cheese & charcuterie platter from this stash!
Super cool thing I found out. If anyone else is lactose intolerant, like yours truly, this Parmesan cheese from Italy is the cheese for you!
In addition to groceries, Earth Fare also offers various salad bars, a hot foods bar, a pizza station, and a Juice Bar for patrons.
Of course Ava and I had to try a smoothie at the Juice Bar!
As a mom and someone who generally leads a healthy lifestyle I love that Earth Far is challenging Americans to take back control of their health through their food choices and Live Longer with Earth Fare. And Earth Fare genuinely wants to help. All of their prices are competitively low and they offer everyone the chance to join their Healthy Rewards program to take advantage of more deals and discounts. They also cater. 🙂
Thanks Earth Fare for this great opportunity to tour your new store. My family and I loved it and will definitely be back.
