Happy Friday friends! How is it the weekend before Christmas Eve?! This month (and year) is flying by. This weekend we’re heading to ZooLights and a couple of holiday parties.
Last weekend, my friends Christina, Miki, and I hosted a baby shower for our friend Tammy. She and her husband, Natan, are expecting a baby boy in February!

Can you guess the show the saying is an offshoot of?
Per the mama-to-be’s wishes, she wanted a loose vintage train theme for the shower. We decided to have the shower from 11am – 1pm.
Christina was in charge of the decorations and she did such a good job finding her crafty side. 🙂
Yours truly was in charge of the party favors and I knew little bottles of wine would please the crowd.

So this picture was actually from the day before when I was assembling the favors. I loved that Tammy and Natan’s cat, Zelda, was keeping me company. Mini Sutter Home wine bottles and favor tags.
I was also in charge of the beverages. In keeping with our menu (which you’ll see below), I decided the alcoholic beverages would be wine (red & white), and the non-alcoholic drinks would be sparkling cider and water.
And now for the show-stopper of the shower – THE MENU. Miki did such a wonderful job of choosing the menu. We each bought various ingredients pertaining to the menu and we all pitched in with the cooking. There was a lot!
The Menu:
- Baked brie w/ crackers and fruit (appetizer)
- Candied Pecans (appetizer)
- Lasagna Rolls
- Pasta and Sausage (with a red sauce)
- Brocoli and Alfredo Shells
- A GF option (red sauce w/ chicken pasta)
- Garlic Bread
- Salad
- Chocolate Lava Cupcakes (GF, dessert)
- Strawberry Lemon Cupcakes (dessert)
I think it’s safe to say everyone loved the food spread!Â
We played a couple of games (Guess the Celebrity Baby Name and Guess Which Questions are True About Pregnancy and the Birth Process). I will say I have been to my fair share of baby showers (including my own) and I had never played the second game. It was very interesting!
People could also decorate onesies for Baby Boy Cohen if they wanted.
Then it was time for presents!
The Co-Hosts!Â
Congrats Tammy and Natan! We can’t wait to meet you Baby Boy Cohen!
Have a great weekend!
