Hi all –
Apologies for my MIA-ness. My mom passed away a week ago yesterday. And while I’m still processing all that entails, I decided that this post is a pretty timely post, as it will allow me to focus on happier things. (This post was supposed to go live last week, but given what happened, I was not in the right frame of mind to write it then). So here we go.
- All the amazing and heart-warming support I have received from family and friends near and far during this devastating time. Being able to talk and listen to stories and anecdotes from people serving in different chapters of mom’s life have been so uplifting and satisfying. I’ll share more when I’m ready – and personally thank everyone who has been so kind and loving to my family and me.
- And it so happens that all of my in-laws live in the Portland area, so I was able to see all of them for a family dinner! One of my sisters-in-law, Christy, and I met up for drinks beforehand at North 43 Bistro in South Portland.
- I have been wanting to add some real houseplants into my house decor and I settled on two purchases from Home Depot. Here is one of them.
- My little family and I attended Art on the Avenue in Del Ray earlier this month, which I always enjoy.
- And, are you surprised?
