My little lady.
- On Saturday, Tommy, Ava, and I were invited to go see the latest production from Arts on the Horizon’s Drumming with Dishes play! Ava really liked this play – and I’m attributing it to the fact that one of her current favorite activities is playing in her toy kitchen, so the plot really resonated with her. 🙂 Drumming with Dishes explores what happens when you invite someone very different from you to come over to play? This question awaits an adventurous child when she introduces her shy imaginary friend to a very special kitchen, where instead of food, they’ll cook up beautiful music! This gentle, whimsical adventure celebrates friendship and turning the ordinary into the extraordinary as you never know just what will become a musical instrument next.
Ava especially liked the guitar music that accompanied the actors during the production and how they would hum certain nursery rhymes. In fact, Ava sang “Itsy Bitsy Spider” out loud with the actors, much to the audience’s amusement and smiles (thankfully)!
Another great production, Arts on the Horizon!
