Hello folks! Happy Monday night – AKA the end of my birthday. 🙂
I had a wonderful 34th birthday, though I’m having trouble believing I’m that old, but you know…
My celebrating “officially” began on Saturday night with a lovely date night with Tommy at Le Diplomate. Big thanks to my mom for baby-sitting Ava!

To be expected, with Pride celebrations occurring throughout the weekend (and the Pride Parade happening earlier in the day) the city was packed and bustling. I loved it – I thought it added to the fun of the evening and it was great people-watching. Love is Love.

Our waitress was so sweet to offer to take our picture. Maybe she sensed we were celebrating something?!
On Sunday afternoon, I hosted a gals gathering at my house with plenty of rosé, cheese and crackers, olives, and mini rosé cupcakes. It was lovely seeing some of my closest friends in D.C. and having interrupted chatting time. (Tommy and Ava were at our friend’s graduation party during my birthday gathering). And my friends with kids, left their kids at home. 🙂

Some of the spread.

More of the spread.

I got all of the food at Aldi – the cheese, the crackers, the prosciutto wraps, the olives, and half the rosé bottles. I was blown away at the cost for all of these items and how good everything tasted.

I found super cute (and cheap) cocktail napkins in the Dollar Aisle at Target. Target for the win, as always.
And today, on my actual birthday, I took the day off from work! It was wonderful. It was a combination of relaxing (semi-sleeping in and watching a chick flick) and productive with household chores and errands.
My mom took me out for a sushi lunch, followed by a leisurely stroll through HomeGoods.
Big thank you for all the wonderful and sweet FB messages, texts, phone calls, cards, and gifts I’ve received. I feel so, so, so loved and blessed to have so many wonderful, thoughtful people in my life. If this weekend is a sign of how good my 34th year will be, then bring it on!
