Happy Monday friends and Happy 5th Super Bowl win Patriots! (Your welcome Tommy and in-laws. 🙂 )
This past weekend I was in Dallas to help host my friend Christina’s bridal shower. I shared co-hosting duties with her friend Karen, (Matron-of Honor), her sister Kimberly (bridesmaid), and Tiffany (bridesmaid).
This bridal shower was unique as it was planned by folks living in several different states – Connecticut, DC, and Seattle, but the end result was fabulous!
We held the shower at Christina’s condo as it was the perfect spot for it – she has such an elegant, modern and, clean decor style and since she is also a “hostess with the mostest” we knew we’d be in good hands for serving platters, and other crucial hostessing items we’d need.
Karen took the lead on the shower, since she unfortunately cannot attend the wedding in March because she’s expecting her first child on April Fool’s Day! She sent bridal shower invitations from Etsy and planned the entire menu and pretty much cooked everything herself! #bosslady anyone?!
- Peach Iced Tea
Brunch (the shower was from 12-3pm)
- Goat cheese salad
- Chicken salad
- Veggie quiche
- Fruit salad
- Veggie tray
- Hummus and pita chips
- Mini cupcakes from Trailercakes!
Decorations for the shower included fresh flowers from Central Market and pink and gold balloons. Simple and elegant.
Yours truly was in charge of favors for the guests and the shower activities.
Guests left with a bottle of Essie nail polish (I had selected four different hues of whites, metallics, and pinks for people to choose from).
I had guests fill out date night card suggestions for the bride and groom.
And for our game we played the ever popular and crowd favorite “Guess What the Groom Said”?
Congratulations Christina! Next up – San Francisco and Wine Country for your Bachelorette. 🙂
