Happy Monday night friends!
Tonight my friends Tammy, Christina and I had our final 14th Street dinner of 2016! To celebrate another great year of eating and trying new restaurants on 14th Street, we decided to celebrate at a favorite of ours, Le Diplomate. We also had a special guest for this dinner – Tammy’s mom!
I also wanted an excuse to come here during the holiday season – I love all of their classy decorations. 🙂 You might have seen my Insta story showcasing the lovely decor in person earlier tonight.
As you have read throughout the years I have been to Le Diplomate many times and while I’m never disappointed with the quality of food, I must say our service tonight was rather poor. We had to wait around an hour for our entrees to come after we had first sat down! We each had an appetizer (French Onion soup or a House Salad), but we still had to wait 35 minutes between our appetizer and getting our main courses. We weren’t quite sure what the hold up was as the restaurant wasn’t yet slammed with costumers or anything. Oh well, can’t win them all. At least we all had a very stimulating political discussion. 😉
Here are some of the food highlights from our meal!

Who doesn’t love a good bread basket?

A good old-fashioned burger.

Mussels.

Gluten-free little pastries.
Cheers to another fabulous year of meals (but sad we had to say good-bye to Miki earlier this year). Here’s to 2017 and more delicious restaurants!
Have a great night.
