Okay, okay before anyone goes completely crazy I know Halloween weekend is upon us (and we have some very fun plans in the works) and while it is no secret my favorite holiday EVER is Christmas, I strongly believe in no Christmas decorating or activities until the day after Thanksgiving. Give each holiday it’s rightful time and place. However, there is nothing wrong with planning is there? The fact that several Christmas things lined up perfectly this week is just a sign of all the fun and excitement this time of year brings.
- My friend Hannah let me know about this particular Junior League of Washington holiday event coming up at Union Market. She and I are going to the Candy Cane Cocktails: Holiday Shops Grand Opening on Friday, 11/18. Be sure to check out the other fun holiday events happening as well.
- I cannot wait to go experience Miracle on 7th Street myself this year.
- Last year Tommy and I used a new local company, DC Tree Delivery, as our vehicle to getting a Christmas tree. It is amazing – they will come deliver a beautiful Christmas tree to your home, set it up, and cleanup if necessary. I scheduled our Christmas tree delivery for this year yesterday. Woot woot!
To show you that I am totally embracing the Halloween spirit here are a couple throwbacks to Ava’s first Halloween last year. On Sunday we will participate in the Del Ray Halloween Parade and festivities and on Monday we will go trick-or-treating, obviously! Ava will be a Bumblebee and a Fairy respectively.
Have a great Halloween weekend!
