Happy Monday!
Hope you’re Monday was a good one. To me, the day flew by, but that was because I had a work event in the afternoon the engulfed the bulk of my day.
On Sunday I did a really cool thing, I met a few fellow local bloggers!
I had reached out to a blogging network I am a member of (Virginia Bloggers) to see if anyone would be interested in meeting up one day to meet each other (or see each other again), share a bit about their own blogs, answer questions, and give out helpful tips. While there was a lot of early interest and RSVPs a lot of people had to cancel at the last minute (tear) but I met three very cool women yesterday.
I decided to have the meet up at La Pain Quotidien in the Mosaic District in Fairfax, VA since it seemed to be the most central place for everyone.
Three fabulous bloggers and me (and a guest appearance from Ava who came towards the end!) Laura’s adorable and well-behaved kids also came.
It was a great couple of hours meeting new friends and sharing tips of the trade. The lovely ladies I met were:
- Mimi Banasik – face designer (makeup artist and fashion blogger)
- Dorothy at the Creative Recylcer
- Laura at Beltway Bargain Mom
Not only were these ladies so sweet and helpful, all of their blogs/websites are very awesome and creative. Take a look sometime when you are free!
Thanks again Mimi, Dorothy, and Laura for taking time out of your busy schedule to meet new people and build up fellow bloggers.
