It’s Friday! I don’t know about you, but I’m glad it’s almost the weekend. It’s been a bit of a tough week so I’m ready for the weekend and a brand new week to start.
On Tuesday Tammy, Christina, and I met for our July 14th Street Eating Tour dinner. It was the first time we dined since Miki left us for Denver. 🙁 We made sure to send her a photo of us at our restaurant of choice, Sette Osteria. You may remember while we have dined here before, this is where the birthday girl, Tammy, wanted to eat this month.
Sette didn’t disappoint. Tuesday night is Pasta Night, which means you can order any pasta for $12. Naturally we all ordered pasta for dinner, but I think that would have been the case had there not been a pasta deal! There was a reason Tammy wanted to come back here. 🙂

I, of course, ordered my standby – Fettuccine Alfredo with chicken. It was even better than I had remembered!

Tammy ordered the Penne All’Arrabbiata – spicy tomato sauce with garlic and chicken.

And Christina ordered the Cavatelli All’Indiavolata – Italian Sausage with tomato, Parmesan, and broccoli rabe.
It’s good to know that Sette is consistent with their food and service. They are also extremely good about one other thing I, unfortunately, had to experience. I realized on Wednesday morning that I had left my debit card at the restaurant. I immediately called them and they were able to confirm they did indeed have my card and that I could pick it up anytime on Thursday (my decision since my Wednesday was already booked). So on Thursday late-morning I found myself back at Sette and before I knew it I had my debit card back. Talk about a relief! I checked my account like a hawk too and no extraneous charges had been used with my card. Sette for the win!
Since I found myself back on 14th Street I had decided to try something out that I had read about on another blog. Logan 14, a salon and spa, offers express massages, facials, waxings, and other services during the week (not weekends). You can get a service done for 30 minutes for $30. That’s a steal!
Because of said tough week I decided to treat myself to a 30-minute massage. I was a little tense and I could justify the purchase because it wasn’t too pricey. And you know what, it was the best decision I’ve made this week! And apparently I needed a massage. When asked to describe how tight I was in my upper back, shoulders, and neck I was told “they were a mess” by my massage therapist, Kasandra.

The spa lounge.
Kasandra was fantastic. And while 30 minutes is only 30 minutes, it honestly didn’t feel that short at all. Kind of like an impromptu luxurious escape! I will definitely be coming back here to partake in another Express Service and even a regular one. For more information on these services go here. One tip: I originally tried booking my express appointment using their online system, but was soon called to say that the time I had selected had already been booked. It was explained to me that their online booking system sometimes doesn’t update in real time. So when you schedule a service I’d suggest calling them.
Hope you have a wonderful weekend!
