We had some more snow in the DMV area on Monday, President’s Day. Fortunately or unfortunately – depending on who you talk to! – it didn’t cause us to miss an actual day of work since Tommy and I had this day off from work already. (Though we did have a 3-hour delay for work on Tuesday due to the after effects of the snow).
My mom stayed with us this weekend so we were able to enjoy her company on this snowy day. After taking it easy in the morning, around 12:30pm or so we all ventured out for a walk in the snow. (Well, sans Violet. She and Tommy had already gone on a long walk while mom and I played with Ava inside).
As is quickly becoming a tradition, we stopped at Hank’s Oyster Bar again for beers (Tommy), wine (me), fried oysters and mussels (mom and me).
After Hank’s we stopped by a coffee shop I had been eyeing for a couple of weeks, Misha’s Coffee. Since mom treated us to Hank’s I treated Tommy to a coffee and mom and myself to lattes. Their coffee was delicious! Swing’s may have some competition (another local coffee shop that we adore).
After Misha’s we headed home and were all pretty tired. Ava started to fall asleep on the walk home, but then refused to take a nap in her crib once we got home. Oh well! This picture below pretty much sums up the rest of our day.
Have a great Wednesday!
