I decided to get in the birthday mood a day earlier by cashing in on my Starbucks birthday reward this morning after I hit the gym before work. (That’s right, yours truly is turning 31 tomorrow!)
Don’t ask me why, but after my workout I was CRAVING an egg salad sandwich…weird I know. For my workout this morning I decided to switch up my half marathon training plan a little. Instead of doing a 40 minute tempo run I decided to push that to tomorrow morning (substituting it with a 3 mile run + strength) so I could take my favorite, trusty barre class at Vida at 7:30am.
Even though I know a fitness class is completely different from running (different muscles being used, different pace and breathing rate), I always feel so out of shape after this class because it always kicks my butt. A good thing, I know, but it definitely puts things in perspective. While I consider myself active and somewhat fit, I have a long way to go. I have a feeling my arms and quads are going to be BURNING tomorrow.
Any other egg salad fans out there?!
